Due to the restriction/ reluctance from banks from offering UPI services to the major Indian crypto platforms including us, CoinSwitch is also compelled to disable the UPI based payments on its platform.
As an entity running a crypto trading business in India, CoinSwitch is committed to working with the concerned authorities, including NPCI. If and when the UPI payment mode can be enabled again, we will promptly inform you via app alerts and other modes of communication.
Unfortunately, we currently do not support UPI payments at the moment.
1. You cannot use UPI apps (Google Pay, BHIM, PhonePe, etc.) to transfer to the CoinSwitch account as it does not support direct UPI deposits.2. You cannot use PayTM bank to transfer to the CoinSwitch account as PayTM uses UPI as a default mode of payment. In order to make an IMPS transfer, please refer to this article.
You can do a direct bank transfer by adding the account details you see in the "Bank Transfer" section of the Payment screen to your payment app.
Note: If you make a mistake in the bank account number, you might end up depositing money in someone else's account. Please double-check before you add the CoinSwitch account as a beneficiary.
